Vera Cagle

Vera Cagle, age 72 of Mount Pleasant, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 in Tyler. Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant at 10:00 A.M. with Dr. Clint Davis and Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Hill Cemetery.

Vera was born in Riverside California on August 16, 1943 to Byron Stanley Smallwood Sr. and Mildred Smallwood and married James Cagle in Dallas Texas on June 17, 1961. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.

She is survived by her husband James Cagle, daughter Sheri Cox and husband Jim Day; her sister Brenda Shelby and husband Donnie and her brother Lewis Smallwood; brother in law Wesley Robinson and wife Marilyn and Richard Robinson and wife Jodean; sister in law Virginia Warner and husband Donald; friend Bettye Harris and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Byron Sr. and Mildred Smallwood, son, Monte Cagle, brother Stanley Smallwood and sister Elaine Summers.
