Thurman Kirby

Thurman Ray Kirby, age 70 of Mount Pleasant, TX passed away at his home on Monday, December 10, 2018. He was born in Hale Center, TX on June 5, 1948 to his parents, Thurman and Margaret Puckett Kirby.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kirby of Mt. Pleasant, TX; daughter & son-in-law, Keri and Jeff Efurd of Pittsburg, TX; son, Kory Kirby of Austin, TX; mother, Margaret Kirby of Greenville, TX; granddaughter, Makenzie Roach of Woodlands, TX; grandson, Kane Roach of Longview, TX; granddaughter, Haley Efurd of Pittsburg, TX; brother & sister-in-law, Carrel and Linda Kirby of Quinlan, TX; brother & sister-in-law, Jim and LeaAnn Kirby of Roberson Ranch, TX; mother-in-law, Christine Gray of Mt. Pleasant, TX; brother-in-law, Bob Gray of Mt. Pleasant, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Gene and Betty Murry of Stigler, OK.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thurman F. Kirby and his grandparents, John and Irene Kirby and Arthur and Ida Puckett.

There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at DFW national cemetery at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can made to the First Baptist Church building funds.
