Sybil Brownlee

Syble Holcomb Brownlee, age 92, of Mt. Pleasant passed away, January 7 in Tyler. Mrs. Brownlee was born to Albert and Ester (Gerron) Holcomb on May 10, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant. She married her husband of 68 years, John Raymond Brownlee on August 2, 1941. Syble is survived by her son Doyle and wife Vickie Brownlee of Mt. Pleasant, grandsons Brian Brownlee, Troyce Brownlee and Michael Krugh and wife Sarah, grand-daughter Michelle Krugh Williams and husband Adam, great-grandchildren Tristan Brownlee, Taryn Brownlee and Samantha Krugh and great-great-grandson Christian Krugh, brothers Harold Holcomb of Manetta, Bobby Holcomb of Diana, Fred Holcomb of Omaha, Gary Holcomb of Mt. Pleasant, Bill Wilbanks of Mt. Pleasant and sister Pearl Swafford of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Ester Gerron Holcomb, sisters Ruth Johnson, Judy Daniels, O'lete Soller and Florine Antkiewicz, and brothers Albert Holcomb Jr., V.C. Wilbanks and Marlin Wilbanks. A visitation will be held at the Mt. Sylvia Baptist Church from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, January 10, 2014 with a service at the church at 2 P.M. on Saturday, January 11,, 2014. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Sylvia Baptist Church.
