Scotty Scott

Scotty James Scott, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at his home June 26. Mr. Scott was born to Wayne Sloan and Roxie Scott August 19, 1928 in Pittsburg, Texas. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1952 and then returned home to farm and ranch. He enjoyed gardening, bridwatching, and visiting with his friends.
He is survived by a daughter Kay Gordon, grandaughter Keri Neff, and husband Dean, and great-grandsons Gabriel and Nathaniel Neff, brother Charles Scott, his best friend since boyhood, Oscar Hill, and numerous other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home Saturday, July 5 at 11:00 A.M. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Heart to Heart Hospice in his honor.
