Ronald Smith

Ronald Ray Smith, age 68 of Mount Pleasant, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 in Mount Pleasant. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the South Jefferson Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. with Bro. Tommy Oglesby officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 6:00-8:00P.M. at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Ronald was born in St. Louis Missouri on July 10, 1947 to Orville and Gertrude Smith and married Hilda Vance in Bernie Missouri. He served in the United States Army, was a retired truck driver and a member of the South Jefferson Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children; Dawn Lockaby and husband Gary of Mount Pleasant, Paula Duncan of Mount Pleasant, Mathew Allen and wife Sherri of Kilgore, LeeAnna Riley and husband Adam of Mount Pleasant, and Ronnie Smith of Madison, Wisconsin, his grandchildren, Nathan Lockaby, Travis Glisson, Natalie Porterfield, Tara Lockaby, Rayna De La Rosa, Michelle Duncan, Danielle Duncan, Nichole Jetton, James Case, Mathew Brayden Allen, Aaron Strube, Haven Strube, and Jessi Riley, his niece Betty Jean Styles, great nephew Christopher Smith and wife Christina. As well as seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Gertrude Smith, wife Hilda Smith, daughter Rhoda Glisson and many loved ones.
