Regina Ragsdale

Regina “Kay” Ragsdale, age 60, passed away January 20, 2022 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Kay was born on August 15, 1961 in Mt. Pleasant, Tx to JoAnn Blanchard and Billy Merritt. She married the love of her life Randall on September 23, 1991.

Regina is survived by her husband, Randall; children, Jerod Day and his wife McKaye, Brett Ragsdale and his wife Ashley, Lauren Hollis and her husband Colten; parents, Jim and JoAnn Blanchard and Billy and Barbara Merritt; and grandchildren, Kingston Day, Magnolia Day, Morrison Day, Holden and Layton Ragsdale, and Ashton Hollis. She is also survived by her brother Mike Merritt and his wife Jaci; stepbrother, J.R. McGee and his wife Xochil;  step-sister, Angela Hudson and her husband, Mark: stepsister, Cyndi Lee and her husband, Ray Dubey; sister in law, Amy Black; nieces, Ali Grace Merritt, Kaitlyn Austin, Madisyn Austin, Taelyn Austin, Brittany Thompson, and Heather Thompson; nephews, Hayden Merritt, Brendon Hudson, Johnnie McGee, and Kaleb McGee.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Arthur and Opal Merritt; grandmother, Irene Deaton; and her uncle, Melvin Merritt.

Her memorial service will be held at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home on January 26, 2022 at 1:00pm.
