Pauline Sice

Pauline Parish Van Sice (Polly), age 91, passed away on June 26, 2018 in Concord Community of Omaha, Texas. She was born on April 23, 1927 to Claudie Daniel and Alba Maud Parish in French Camp, MS. She was retired and noted for her outstanding seamstress abilities. She was well loved by all of her friends and family. She had been a very active member for over 50 years at Briarwood Drive Baptist Church in Jackson MS. She was currently a faithful member at Nevill’s Chapel Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant TX. She married Harry “Roy” Van Sice on October 17, 1944 and together they had three children, Michelle (Mickey) Griffith, Ed Van Sice, and Jeff Van Sice.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Mickey) Griffith and husband Glenn, her son Jeffrey Van Sice and wife Susan all of Mt. Pleasant TX., her grandchildren; Shannon Harvill and husband Johnny of Mt. Pleasant, Edie de Jong and husband Tjibbe of Ft. Worth, Joshua Griffith and wife Sandy of Grapevine, TX., Casey Van Sice and wife Sarah of Grapevine TX., Corrie Van Sice of Vermont, and Ethan Van Sice of Camden AL. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; Hannah Paige and Hayden Scott Harvill, Madeline Brooke and Anneke Juliette de Jong, and Jackson Glenn and Charley Michelle Griffith, and a special little boy, Daniel. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Doyce Parish, her sister Frances Brewer and husband Doug, her brother A.M. ‘Butch’ Parish and wife Suzanne, her sister Martha Cox and her sister Judy Sylvester and husband Roy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and very dear friends.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, Claudie and Alba Parish, her husband of 62 years, Harry ‘Roy’ Van Sice, her son Ed Van Sice, her sister, Gertrude Walls and spouse E.L. ‘Slim’ and her brother C.D. Parish.
