Morlan Roach, age 52, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday January 19, 2013 in Mt. Pleasant. Graveside services will be held Saturday January 26, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at the Union Hill Cemetery with Randy Green officiating and Randy Conrroe, Ray Green, Chris Marrs, Brian Alcorn, Jason Grahmn, and Seth Buranam serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Friday January 25, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Curry Welborn Funeral Home.
He was born on April 1, 1960 in Gladewater, the only son of Ida and Russell Roach. Mr. Roach was a Deputy Constable for Franklin County and served in Law Enforcement.
He is remembered by family and friends that knew his passion for wood furniture. How he enjoyed drawing and painting, but most of all the love he had for being a police officer. He loved meeting and getting to know people from different parts of the country. He felt he was a better person just by his path walking with so many others. After being sick for so long he is now at peace and resting near a good friend at Union Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Leeda Roach; a 33 years old son, Michael Roach and wife Heather of Mineola TX, a 32 year old daughter, Mandy Cote and her husband Robert of Sulphur Springs and a 28 year old daughter Laura Murillo of Mt. Vernon. His Grand-Children; Katelyn Roach, Ashlee Dockery, Jason Roach and Landon Roach all of Mineola TX, and Zackary Jones, Bradley Jones, Carrson Cote, and Maci Cote of Sulphur Springs and Hailey Cote of Seagoville TX, Keaton Carlock, Adean Murillo, and Ethan Murillo of Mt. Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ida Roach.
