Melba Pool

Melba Sue Kemp Pool, age 67, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on April 6, 2020 at her home. She was born on January 10, 1953 in Maud, TX to Bogie Kemp and Pearl Morgan Kemp.

Melba was happily married for 51 years to her loving husband Royce. She enjoyed spending much time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She worked as a CNA for many years before retiring. She was courageous, strong, a lover, romantic, selfess, and was the BEST grandmother and great grandmother to her grandchildren. More importantly she was the light of our family, she led us through the darkest times and brightest times. She is such a beautiful soul and will be with us forever. She is the reason that our family shines.

She is survived by her husband Royce Pool of Mt. Pleasant, TX; daughter, Christie Burnett and husband James of Mt. Vernon, TX; daughter, Melisa Cole and husband Greg of Mt. Vernon, TX; grandchildren, Jonathan Pool, Justin Pool, Destany Pool, Kara Parker, Michael Hughes, Leslie Bailey, Brittany Cole, Tyler Kruse, Patsy Kruse; great-grandchildren, Addison Kaye Parker, Kennadi Parker, Cheyenne Pool, Lennox Hughes, Journey Otto, Amei-xing Grace Calderon; siblings, Gail Walker and Carl Kemp as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; sons, Robert and Steven Heath Pool; grandson, Randy Pool and 7 siblings.

A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
