Maurine Cecil

Maurine Cecil left this life to be with her Lord on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born January 19, 1925 to Terrance and Nellie Bell of the Mt. Syliva community in Titus County, Tx. Maurine was a long time member of The First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

At the age of 16 she married Willard "Cotton" Cecil on November 18, 1941, as he was drafted in the U.S. Army she followed him to Ft. Riley Kansas, where she altered uniforms for soldiers during WWII, and her first child was born there in 1943. She was a housewife, and in her early years she worked as a waitress, she was also a seamstress and worked at Lil Abner's Cleaners, and Schrader dress factory on Mt. Pleasant, Tx.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Hargrove and husband Bascom of Argo Community, Nancy Roberts of Diana, Tx, and one son Anthony Cecil and wife Lisa of Mt. Pleasant, Tx. Grandchildren; Laura and husband Billy Reynolds of Argo, Kevin Hargrove and wife Lynell of Georgetown, Tx, Rickey Foster and wife Cindy of Longview, Tx, Scarlet Foster of Kileen, Tx, Katrina Hickam and husband Eric of Bastrop, Tx, Tricia Cecil, Cain Cecil, and Caleb Cecil, great-grandchildren; Aron Farley and partner Takota and daughter Nevaeh, Triston Reynolds, Braden Hargrove, Brian Hargrove, Brant Hargrove, Wesley Hernandez, Michael Foster, Morgan Foster and one great-great grandchild Ashton Farley.

She was preceded in death by her parents Terrance and Nellie Bell, her husband Willard Cecil, one sister Virginia Dean, brother; Leland Bell, Marion Bell, Vernon Bell, William Bell, and Charlie Bell.

Visitation will be held Sunday January 15, 2017 7:00P.M. - 9:00P.M. with services on Monday January 16, 2017 at 2:00P.M. at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Tx.
