Mary Elrod

Mary M. Elrod, age 83, of Bogata passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at East New Hope Cemetery with Jimmy Tully, Jeremy Nance, Lee Elrod, B.J. Walker, Todd Jones, John Duke and Jason Davis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are David Taylor and Andy Elrod. Visitation will be from 12 P.M.- 2 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Elrod was born in Detroit, Texas on November 8, 1929.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary A. Duke and husband John of Bogata; four granddaughters, Peggy Sue Tully and husband Jimmy of Talco, Patricia A. Clark of Winnsboro, Pamela J. Davis of Mount Pleasant and Jennifer Jones and husband Todd of Bogata; two grandsons, Lee Elrod and Jason Davis and wife Amber; great grandchildren, Bobbie S. Taylor of Mount Vernon, David R. Taylor of Talco, Chloe Davis, Jeremy Nance, Misti Phillips, Crystal Taylor; a great granddaughter, Kimmy Pewitt; a great-great grandson, Tristin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Elrod; a daughter, Barbara Clark and two sons, Nolan Elrod and Carroll Wayne "C.W." Elrod.
