Marion Perrey

Marion Geneva Matthews Perrey, age 98, went to be her heavenly father on February 12, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, TX. She was born in Mint Hill, MO on July 27, 1922 to her loving parents Loyd and Lura White Matthews.

Marion married the love of her life Maurice Perrey in Linn, MO, and was happily married for over 71 years. She taught first and second grade Sunday school for over 50 years, and was also a member of First Baptist of St. John in St. John, MO.

Preceding her death are her parents, husband, Maurice Perrey; great grandchildren, Benjamin Gaertner and Emma Gaertner; siblings, Ethel Crothers, Beulah Matthews, Paul Matthews, Lucille Matthews and Art Matthews. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Hellman and husband Ken; grandchildren, Clay Hellman; Chauna Gaertner and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Ella, Ana, Jameson, Levi, Tessa, Silas, Hadden and Avett Gaertner.

Cremation arrangements are being held under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
