Lynn Drake

Lynn "Mike" Drake, age 62, of Mount Vernon, died on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. A memorial service will be held at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home at 1:30 P.M. Friday April 12, 2013. Inurnment will follow at Farmers Academy Cemetery. Cremation services are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Mr. Drake was born July 24, 1950 in Atlanta, GA, the son of Charles Drake and Mary Mann Drake.
He is survived by his special loved one, Sharon Watkins; his children, Kenneth Collins and wife Enie, Harold Collins and wife Ruthie, Tawannah K. Peckins and husband Brian, Chastity Kennedy and husband Brandon, Amber Longshores and husband Brian, Chris Pipkins, Sidney Drake and David Drake and wife Pam; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two half brothers, John Drake and Gary Woodall; Charles Jones and close friends, Jennifer Champion, J.D. Short and Poncho.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Mickey Drake.
