L.W. Carpenter

L.W. (Charlie) Carpenter, age 82, of Omaha, passed away on Monday November 4, 2013 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with burial to follow at the Old Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Carpenter was born on May 11, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant TX, to Virgel and Willie Mae Carpenter. He married Marjorie Ann Holmes on March 30, 1954 and was a retired Heavy Duty Mechanic. Mr. Carpenter was also a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Carpenter of Omaha, his sons; Randy Carpenter and his wife Linda of Hughes Springs, Rusty Carpenter and his wife Jeanie of Omaha, and a daughter, Rena Dailey and her husband Gib of Omaha, he is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a special niece Dorothy Johnson.
Mr. Carpenter is preceded in death by his parents, Virgel and Willie Mae Caepenter, two sons; Richard Carpenter, and Ronnie Carpenter, three sisters; Pearl Gann, Edna Haren and Nina Wodham, and five brothers; Leon Carpenter, Doyle Carpenter, Billy Dean (Red) Carpenter, Orville(Shorty) Carpenter, and Doyle Carpenter.
