Lorene Collins

Lorene Collins age 91, of Mt. Vernon TX., passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Sulphur Springs TX. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Calvary Baptist Temple in Mt. Vernon TX., with Rev. Troy Hollingsworth Officiating. Interment will follow at the Providence Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Family visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. one hour prior to the service at the church.

Lorene was born in Mt. Vernon, TX on April 10, 1930 to Samuel “Sam” and Opal (Cooper) Luallen, in Mt. Vernon, Texas. She was a retired master florist and owner of The Party Barn in Mt. Vernon, and a member of Calvary Baptist Temple in Mt. Vernon.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Patricia Hollingsworth and husband Kirby of Mt. Vernon TX, her great-grandchildren: Marcus Hollingsworth of Dallas TX., Kara Halley and husband Braden of Mt. Pleasant TX., and Blake Hollingsworth of Mt. Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel “Sam” and Opal Luallen, and her Daughter Linda Hackney.
