Lonnie Morton

Ms. Lonnie (Lou) Morton, age 86, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, February 07, 2017 in Mt. Pleasant. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday February 18, 2017 at 12 P.M. at the Greenhill Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Lou was born on September 23, 1930 in Midland TX., to Alonzo and Lucille Boozer McCook. She married Manuel Fred Morton on December 22, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant TX., she was a nurse for 30 years and a lifelong member of the Greenhill Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Becky Edwards and husband Johnny of Mt. Pleasant, grandson Michael Edwards and wife Kathy of Atlanta TX., a great grandson Jason Edwards of Mt. Pleasant TX., and a sister in-law Dorothy Morton of Mt. Pleasant TX., as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Lucille McCook, her husband Manuel Morton, and a granddaughter Carrie Edwards and two brothers and two sisters.
