Julio Ariza

Julio Tovar Ariza, age 64, of Cookville, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church, burial will follow at the Coopers Chapel Cemetery in Cookville. Family visitation and wake will be held at the St. Michaels Catholic Church on Monday, August 28, 2017 beginning at 5 P.M.
Julio was born on April 12, 1953 in Guanajuato MX, he was a rancher and foreman of the GPS Ranch. Julio is survived by his wife Petra Tovar of Cookville, his son Joe Tovar of Greenville TX., his daughter, Cristina Tovar De La Rosa and husband Rene of Ft. Benning GA., grandchildren; Tristán De La Rosa, and Alexander De La Rosa of Ft. Benning GA. Five sisters; Olga Mejia Tovar of Mt. Pleasant TX., Gloria Tovar Cervantes, Teresa Cuevas Tovar, Lourdes Tovar Ariza and Irma Labrada Tovar of MX. And two brothers; Ismael Tovar of MX., and Agustin Tovar of Pearsal TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis Tovar Vega and Albina Ariza Rodrigues of MX.
