Johnie Gregg

Johnie Gregg, age 91, of Cookville, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Titus Regional Medical Center, Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Bro. James Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Lone Star Cemetery in Cookville with J.C. Friedl, Buck Walton, Jeff Martin, Johnie Fudge, Tony Womack, and J.R. Dyer serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Johnie was born on February 15, 1925 in Drumwright OK., to Tony and Mary McAlister Gregg, he was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his son; James Garfield Gregg and Marsha of Noble OK., daughter Shirley Clawson and husband Roger of Cookville TX., son, Randy Darwin Gregg and wife Patti of Oklahoma City OK., daughter, Mary Evelyn Petersen of Sapulpa OK. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Mary Gregg, a brother, Orange W. Gregg, and two sisters, Lavada Gregg, and Geneva Gregg.
