Joe Melvin Roberson

Brother Joe Melvin Roberson was born August 4, 1940, to the parentage of Olastine Williams -Hughes and Walter (Can) Roberson. He grew up in the Mt. Moriah Community and Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Joe attended the Mt. Moriah and J. J. Rhoads High School in Daingerfield, TX. On Sunday, February 24, 2002 he rededicated his life to Christ at the Faith Temple COGIC - Daingerfield, TX under the leadership of Superintendent Alfred C. Key, Sr. At an early age Joe united in marriage to Annie Jean Lawson and he later married Ella Mae Stewart. Joe's occupation and passion was being a Truck Driver for over 40 years and retired in 2006 due to health issues. Joe had an exceptional Love for Music, Cars, The Dallas Cowboys, and his Family.

He is preceded in death by his mother Olastine, his father Walter, and his brother Clarence. Joe Melvin leaves to cherish his memory his wife Ella Mae, Children; Leslie Wayne Roberson(Lorane), Richie Roberson, Tujronda Renee' Veasy(Ricky), Deneatha Pryor (Nigel), LaTrisha Frazier, Jocelyn Roberson, Juan Roberson (Angelia), Brooks Stewart (Markisha); 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; 2 Brothers; Blakey Roberson (Tomwillena), Paul Roberson ( Mary Ann); 1 Sister; Alicia Jeter (Daymond), 1 Sister-in-law; Patricia Robinson, 2 aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
