Jimmy Lawrence Hamilton Sr.

Jimmy Lawrence Hamilton, Sr., age 78, of Cookville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his home. Jimmy was born on August 11, 1946, in McCamey, Texas. He married his beloved wife, Margaret (Ponthieux) Hamilton, on April 20, 1974, in San Antonio, Texas. Jimmy worked as a truck driver up until his retirement. 

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Margaret Hamilton, his son, Jimmy L. Hamilton Jr., his daughter, Margaret Helen Hamilton and son-in-law, Cecil, his daughter, Carla Hamilton and son-in-law, Carl, his sister, Katie Mae Hamilton, his brother, Arliss Hamilton, his grandchildren; MaKayla Haywood, Ray Haywood Jr., CJ King Jr., Mya King, and Xavier King, and his great-grandchildren; Leo, Audriana, Thalia, and Braxsten. 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Wanda Hamilton, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jack and Pearl Ponthieux, his mother-in-law, Pat Ponthieux, his sister-in-law, Starlett Ponthieux, his brother-in-law, James Perkins Sr., and his nephew, Anderson Ponthieux.
