Jesse was born on January 14, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant TX to Willie and Charlie Jo (Griggs) Adkison.

He was a retired USDA Food Inspector and most importantly, Jesse was a man of God. He was boldly dedicated to the Lord, and served Cypress Baptist Church for many years. There is no way to overstate his faithfulness-not only to his values and love of Jesus; but in every aspect of his life. He had a fierce devotion to his wife and daughters, adored his grandchildren, and always had a warm hug for a friend or family member. He always fancied himself to be a cowboy, and if you ever heard him sing and play his guitar, you would agree. Jesse left a mark on this world that will never be forgotten. He was a soft spoken, gentle man, and his love, words of encouragement, and laughter will be sorely missed by those left behind.

Jesse is survived by his daughters; Jennifer Adkison, Melissa Brenton and husband Tim, and his son in law, Luciano Garcia, as well as his grandchildren; Kathryn Garcia, Daniel Roy Garcia, Sara Bernal and husband Jhovani , Nathaniel Ball, and Kenneth Clark, as well as his great-grandchildren; Lucas Garrett, Noelle Garrett, Karsyn Garcia, Charlie Jo Clark, Collette Bernal, Isaac Clark, and Mya Bernal. He is also survived by his brother, Stevie Adkison and wife Wanda, and his sisters, Kathleen (Ludy) Gibson and husband Matt, and Martha Housotter and husband Dave, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Charlie Jo Adkison, his loving wife, Marsha Adkison, his daughter, Emily (Adkison) Garcia, his brother, Johnny McLeroy and his sister, Jalyn Fudge.
