Janice Scarborough

Janice Scarborough passed away on December 4, 2023, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, surrounded by family. She was born to Thomas and Alma Cunningham on March 15, 1940, in Talco, Texas. 

Janice was a member at Nevill’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, attending every service until she was unable. She dedicated her life to homemaking and enjoyed sewing for the public for many years. She loved spending time with her family and her lifelong best friend, Sue French. 

Janice is survived by her daughter, Leslie Scarborough Johnson of Mount Pleasant. She was a devoted “Nana” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister; her husband, Jackie Ray Scarborough; and son-in-law Brian Johnson. 

The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
