Janet Van Vleet

Janet Kay Van Vleet, who passed away in Mt. Pleasant, TX, was born April 30, 1931, in Madera, CA to Leslie (Shorty) Merle Mossman and Dora Mary Livesay.

Janet is survived by 4 of her 5 children: Cheryl Carpenter of Pittsburg, TX, Robin Purdy and his wife Sandy of Tollhouse, CA, Owen Purdy and his wife Sharon of Prather, CA, and Lola Jester of Pittsburg, TX.

Also surviving her are 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren: Kim Henry, husband Draco, children Jaden and Aniyah, John Carpenter, wife Anna, children Ayla and Judson, Heather Airey and children Alyssa, Drake, and Eillery, Nathan Purdy, wife Kaycie, children Jaylynn and Aiden, Justin Purdy, wife Dawn, children Gavin, and Gifford, and Robbie Purdy, wife Kaitlyn, children Bryson, and Colton.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie (Shorty) and Dora, and daughter Charlene Gail Purdy.

A memorial service will be held for Janet on May 1, 2022, at 11 A.M. at Grace Ministries in Mt. Pleasant, TX. The address is 650 CR 4650.
