James Barker

James Alan Barker, 55, of Mount Vernon, TX, passed away on February 2, 2018. He was born on March 7, 1962, in Chicago, IL. He worked for Schwan's Sales and Surratt's and Kennington. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Barker, of Mount Vernon; Daughter Angela Tilley and Husband John of Bay City, Michigan; Son James Barker Jr and Fiance Kayla Blackstock of Winfield, TX, and his fur babies Missey and Lexie Ann. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Meadow Park Baptist Church, 707 S. Hwy 37, Mt. Vernon, TX under the direction of Curry-Welborn funeral home. Pastor Cody Rushing will be officiating, and food and flowers will be at the church.
