Henry "Pete" Coke, age 89, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Sulphur Springs, passed away on May 26, 2015 in Mt Pleasant. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the East New Hope Cemetery with Bro. James Baker officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the
Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
"Pete" was born on September 19, 1925 in Hopkins County TX to Mal and Pearl Coke. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired master plumber, avid Dallas Cowboy fan, and a member of Circle C Cowboy Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Cook of Mt. Pleasant - grandchildren: Debra McDonald (Blake McDonald) of Flower Mound, TX, Melinda Wattam (Bob Wattam) of Soldotna, AK, and Jerry Barr of Mt. Pleasant, TX ; great-grandchildren: Haylee Morris (Brandon Morris) of Fort Riley, KS, Mackenzie Hastings of Colleyville, TX, Kaytlin Barr of Nacogdoches, TX, Dillon McDonald of University Park TX, Connor McDonald of Flower Mound, TX, Jake Barr of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Lainey Wattam of Soldotna AK ; great-great grandchildren: Brayden Hastings and Kaselynn Morris of Fort Riley, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mal and Pearl Coke, wife Frances Younger Coke, and six brothers and four sisters.
