H. Wayne Easley

May 6, 1947 – February 6, 2025

H. Wayne Easley was born on May 6, 1947, to Veda and Melvin Easley. He grew up in Talco, Texas, and on June 6, 1969, he married the love of his life, Patsy McGonagill Easley. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to their six children: Brandon, Jerrod, Justin, Geana, (Matt) Jones, Arron, and Andrea Easley.

Wayne was known for his incredible work ethic, a value he carried throughout his life. He served his country in the United States Army and dedicated many years of service to Texas Utilities, Exxon, Easley Enterprises, and P&W Dozer Works. A true outdoorsman at heart, Wayne found joy in nature—whether working the land or tending to his garden. He loved sharing his gardening knowledge with others and took pride in the fruits of his labor.

Though he wasn’t a man of many words, when Wayne spoke, his words carried weight and meaning. On February 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, his work here on earth was complete. While he will be dearly missed, we find peace in knowing of his reunion in Heaven with his beloved son Jerrod, his parents, his sister Sue Bond, and many others who welcomed him home on that glorious day.

Wayne leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Patsy, his children Brandon, Justin, Geana and her husband Matt, Arron, and Andrea, as well as 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who will carry on his legacy of love and strength.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Curry-Wellborn Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Pallbearers will include Tanner Easley, Trenton McGonigall, Hagen Holloway, Tyler Easley, Layden Easley, and Josh Ross. Honorary Pallbearers will include Kamden Holcomb and James Burnett.
