Gladys Nicholson

Gladys Nicholson, age 98, of Mineola, passed away February 21, 2018 in Lindale, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday February 23, 2018 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Phillips Taylor Cemetery in Cookville, Texas. Visitation will be held at 1 P.M., 1 hour prior to the service.
Gladys was born September 28, 1919 to William and Jeffie Ragland Pate. She attended school in Cookville, Texas, and she was a homemaker. She was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her daughter Paulette Nichols and husband Cliff of Mineola; granddaughter Sherri Spruill and husband Scott of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter Dana Palmer of Mineola; Sister Allie Fae Watkins of Cleburne, three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Jeffie Pate; husband John Robert "J.R." Nicholson, Brothers; Willard Pate and Bobby Pate, Sisters; Laverne Pate and Marlene Lovil.
