George Smyth

George Harold Smyth, age 69, of Omaha, TX passed away on June 4, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 30, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, TX to his parents Leland and Edith Smyth Alley. He was a longstanding member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, Rodney Smyth, Janet Losey and husband John, Richard Smyth, Melissa Henry and husband Nathan, Jamie Smyth; grandchildren, Katherine Koder and husband Justin, Bradly Butler, Sherman Butler, Levi Butler, Desiree Butler, Jesslin Butler, Farashea Smyth, Eideth Smyth Christian Smyth, Dakota Henry, Michael Henry; brothers Roy Smyth and Gary Smyth; sister, Brenda St. Clair as well as numerous great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Smyth; grandson Jesse Butler Jr. as well his parents and brothers and sisters.

Cremation arrangements are being held under the direction of Curry-Welborn funeral home.
