George Everett Baldwin Jr. "JR"

George Everett Baldwin Jr. “JR”, age 80, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022, at his home. JR was born on February 13, 1942, in Seymore, Texas, to the late George and Margie Baldwin.  

He began his career in the music industry with western merchandising where he retired after 28 years. At the age of 42 he moved to Mt. Pleasant, Texas to be a full-time farmer. He loved working outdoors, he loved cows, and he loved making memories with his grandchildren and then his great- grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Baldwin, sons; Bryan Baldwin and wife Connie and Bobby Clay and wife Roxanne; daughter, Cheryl Clay; grandchildren, Tawny Williams and husband Barry, Davie Dennington, Michael Dennington, Alex Clay, Caden Clay, and Allison Clay, Trevor Baldwin, Georgette Vance and husband Colton, Micki Jo Posey and husband Bud, Billi Jo Thomas and husband Jimmy Lynn, great-grandchildren, Kase Williams, Carlie Williams, Kenlie Williams, and Corbin Williams, Bryant Roberts and wife Erin, Culley Roberts and wife Courtney, Toby Lynn Tomas, as well as his brother, Russell Baldwin and his sister, Peggi Ulibarri alongside numerous family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Margie Baldwin; brothers, Joe Bob Tinker and Michael Hess, sister, Mary Papa, daughters; Robin Dennington and Margie Bragg; and grandson, Riley Porter, alongside numerous other family members.
