Floyd Hooper

Floyd Alton Hooper, age 69, of Mt. Pleasant TX, passed away peacefully at his home Monday. September 25, 2017. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cookeville. Floyd was born on June 10, 1948 in Linden TX., to Alton Pearce Hooper and Gracie Elizabeth Wright Hooper. Floyd was a Baptist and was employed for over 30 years at Wood Air Conditioning. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, singing, and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife Ann Maria of 46 years of Mt. Pleasant TX., his son Thomas Hooper and special friend Janice Story of Omaha TX., two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren, two brothers; his twin brother, Loyd Hooper and wife Lunetta of Naples TX, and Richard Hooper and wife Ann of Omaha TX. Two sisters; Myrtis Knowles of Brenham TX, and Minnie Zelle of Sulphur Springs TX., several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Chuck and a sister Linda Sue.
