Dorothy Henderson

Dorothy Nell Henderson, 87, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday January 11, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Brother Bryan Peck officiating. Eulogy read by Barry Wayne Rogers.
Mrs. Henderson was born November 26, 1926 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to Gordon Rogers and Ann Merrill Rogers.
She was a beautician in her early years then retired from Mike Benets as a seamstress. After retirement she annually donated handmade Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls to various organizations and local charities.
She is survived by a daughter, Rynee Roach and husband Gary, a son Art Henderson and wife Melba; four grandchildren, Marci Henderson and Randy Lyles, Andrea Brown and husband Michael, Michael Henderson and wife Samantha, and Alan Roach and wife Kelly; eight great-grandchildren Grace Lyles, Emilee and Kristen Brown, Hagen Maddie, and J.C. Henderson, Josh and Chad Roach; nieces and nephews Melenda Campell, Larry, Lanny, and Gary Rogers, Carla Webber and Vance Rogers.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Henderson, two brothers Howard Rogers and Larry Rogers, three sisters Gordene Rogers, Durene Morris, and Janice Norman; and her parents Gordon and Ann Rogers.
Visitation will be held at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. Monday, January 13.
