David Lewis

David Lewis, age 50, of Mt. Pleasant TX., passed away on December 4, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Mays officiating. Interment will follow at the Edwards Cemetery with Adam McWhorter, Ed Hill, Emmitt Gotcher, Jimmy Palmore, Justin Smith, Larry Lewis and Wade Short serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
David was born on March 18, 1965 in Westminster CA. to John Lewis and Socorro Lewis. He married Daphne Short on August 9, 2012 and was employed at the Lowes Distribution Center in Mt. Vernon. He is survived by his mother, Socorro Lewis of Mt. Pleasant TX. his wife Daphne Lewis of Mt. Pleasant TX., daughter, Ashley Lewis- Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, two granddaughters; Ashlyn and Ava Campbell of Mt. Pleasant., and a brother Larry Lewis of Mt. Pleasant and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews in Nicaragua.
He is also survived by his Step-Children, Donald Short, Wade Short, Samantha Short and Amanda Wilborn and his mother in-law Kathleen Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father John Dewey Lewis.
