Darlene Herrin

Darlene Ann Herrin, age 62, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at the Bridges Chapel Cemetery with Bobby Herrin Jr., Bobby Clay, Dale Herrin, Brian Massie, Matt Herrin and James Herrin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Baldwin and Rex Merritt. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Darlene was born on December 25, 1954 in Dallas TX, she was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and worked for the Hospitality House of Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by her parents Bobby and Joy Herrin of Mt. Pleasant TX, her son, Michael L. Smith Jr. and wife Rebecca of Shreveport LA., her brother, Bobby E. Herrin and wife Terese of Arlington TX., Sisters, Phyllis Baldwin and husband J.R. of Mt. Pleasant, and Pam Massie and husband Brian of Cleburne TX., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a whole "Flock of Herrin's."
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Myrtle Herrin, her nephew, Riley Porter, and two nieces, Margie Bragg and Robin Dennington.
