Daniel Banda

Daniel E. Banda, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on May 25, 2015 in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May, 28 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the South Jefferson Baptist Church with B ro. Tommy Oglesby officiating. Interment will follow at the Edwards Cemetery under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday May 27, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Banda was born on November 22, 1936 in Wichita Falls TX to Francisco and Petra Banda. He married Alicia Bayona on June 29, 1963 and celebrated 50 years of marriage. He was also a retired minister of the Iglesia Bautista Betel church in Dallas TX where he pastored for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife Alicia Banda of Mt. Pleasant, his children, Bryan Daniel Banda of Mt. Pleasant and Marisa Elaine Banda of Pittsburg, grandchildren;, Larissa Danielle Banda of Pittsburg, Bryan Daniel Banda Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Arsedalia Rodriguez and Marivet Mejia of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by his brothers; Pete Banda and wife Juana of Wichita Falls, Frank Banda and wife Vickie of Wichita Falls, sisters; Josefina Ceballos, and Esther Rangel of Wichita Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Petra Banda, a son, Daniel Banda Jr., sisters; Martha Lopez, Jesse Close, Rosa Estrada, and Belia Rios as well as his brothers David Banda, Antonio Banda and Eliseo Banda.
