C.W. Young of Omaha, TX passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2021 with his wife, children and close family members by his side after battling Dementia/Alzheimers.
C.W. was born in Atlanta, TX on April 28th, 1942, to Claude and Addie Lou (Johnson) Young.
He served in the US Army for two years and was stationed in Germany. He then spent the rest of his time working in construction, building residential homes until he was forced to retire due to health reasons. C.W. received a Heart transplant in 1998 that allowed him to work another 4 years and live for another 23 years.
C.W. excelled in drafting & drawing plans for various buildings where he completed plans for the Fellowship Hall of Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church, where he was a very active member.
C.W. is survived by his wife, Marilyn Young; children Gary Young (Tommie), Deborah Young, Cecil Young (Daurie), several step-children, sisters Dorothy Brown, Trevia Nichols (Richard), Gladys Mize (Cliff), numerous grand children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
C.W. is proceeded in death by his parents; Claude & Addie Lou, and brothers; Aubrey, Ellis, & Dean Young.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 @ 10am followed by Funeral Services at 11am at the Curry Welborn Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TX; with Brother Keith Lauter officiating.
Funeral home will lead procession after funeral services to Liberty Hill Cemetery, FM1001 Argo, TX
A Family Luncheon will follow at Omaha Baptist Church, 200 Senter Avenue, Omaha, TX 75571 @ 1:00pm.
