Curtis Cameron, age 83, of Mt. Pleasant TX, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 in Longview TX.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Bro.Joe Cameron officiating. Visitation will be held before the graveside at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.

Curtis was born in Mt. Pleasant on August 28, 1933, to Lee Ollice Cameron and Josie Naomi Churchwell Cameron. He was retired from America Petro-Fina and East Texas Pipe.

He is survived by his daughters; Debbie Cameron and special friend James Brown of Mt. Pleasant, and Diane Reeves and husband Cornell of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren; Heather Clinton of Mt. Vernon, Hunter Gann of Mt. Pleasant, Hayden Gann of Mt. Pleasant, Clayton Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, Colleen Crawford of Mt. Pleasant, step-grandchildren Daniel Reeves of Mt. Pleasant and Jarod Reeves of Mt. Pleasant, numerous great-grandchildren and one on the way, brothers; Orville Cameron of Mt. Pleasant, Paul Cameron of Mt. Pleasant and sister Freda Sullivan of Texarkana.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee Ollice Cameron and Josie Naomi Churchwell Cameron, brothers; Doyle Cameron and Fred Cameron, and sisters; Hazel Easley, Pauline Wilbanks, and Nadine Holland.
