Cleatus Taylor

Cleatus Taylor, age 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Taylor and Rev. Don White officiating. Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the funeral home.
Cleatus was born on October 9, 1936 in Mt. Vernon TX., to Charlie and Katie Taylor. He married Bobbie L. Patterson on July 28, 1979 in Mt. Pleasant TX. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the First Assembly of God, as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge Temple #70, and the Dallas Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Taylor of Mt. Pleasant TX, sons, Charles Taylor and wife Regina of Mt. pleasant TX., Mike Patterson and wife Sherrill, of Sulphur Springs TX., Joel Patterson and wife Becky of Fulsher TX., daughters; Sandy Tinsmon and husband Corry of Wichita KS., and Lisa Jackson and husband Rob of Austin TX. And fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elnora Taylor, his parents, three sisters, three brothers, and one granddaughter.
