Bonnye Lee Gage, 86, of Talco, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.
Bonnye was born August 8, 1931, in Oolagah, OK to Chas and Fern Worden. She graduated from Talco High School and attended East Texas State University where she received her BS Degree and teacher certification in Home Economics. Mrs. Gage retired from Rivercrest ISD after 44 years of dedicated service.
Bonnye met the love of her life, Blanton Gage, in high school and they were married on November 22, 1949 in Idabel Oklahoma. The love they shared grew to include not only their
childen, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, but overflowed to her "kids" at school, their church family and to all those who crossed their path. Our Memaw was full of life and
overflowing with love. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting her, she considered you one of her own.
Survivors include her husband, Blanton Gage of Talco. Children: Susan and Jerry Dodd of Johntown, Stephen and Gena Gage of Talco, Jerri dee and Ron Tippit of Clarksville, Jon Gage and Sam of Talco, and Muri and Richard Crutchfield of Hallsville. Grandchildren: Jerry and
Andrea Dodd of Mission Viego, CA, James and Agnieszka Dodd of Allen, Barry and Susan Gage of
Talco, Clint and Heather Gage of Longview, Tonya and Cliff Gifford of Cuthand, Deanna Fletcher and Mark McGill of Clarksville, Kim and Coby Reed of Sulphur Springs, Rocky and Amber Tippit of Clarksville, Aaron Gage and Jessica of Mt. Pleasant, Brandon and Renea Malloy of Mt. PLeasant, Billie Joe Elliot of Talco, Casey and Courtney Tucker of Midland, Ashlee Crutchfield and Nic of Elderville. She is also survived by her sister, Sally Williams of Garland, Sister-in-law, Cathy Warrick and husband Mervin of Clyde Texas, and Brother-in-law, Charlie Turner of Noodle Texas. Bonnye also leaves behind a legacy of great grandchildren, neices, nephews, and adopted "family".
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Jacky and Jerry Worden, grandsons; Shon and Liam Gage.
The family extends a special thanks to those who have so lovingly and faithfully cared for her: Heather Williams her home health nurse. The nurses/aides of Focused Care, TRMC, and Choice Care Hospice of Mt. Pleasant.
