Betty Ann Newman

Memorial Service for Betty Ann Newman, age 84, of Mount Pleasant, Texas will be held at a later date by the family. Ms. Newman passed away on January 11, 2025, at her residence. 

Betty Ann Newman was born July 22, 1940, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Marshall Redfearn and Jennie Lee (Rushing) Redfearn. Betty retired from Adult Protective Services where she was an advocate for the elderly. She was a long-standing member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Pamela Newman, her son, Joshua Newman, her daughter, Julie Beth Newman, her granddaughters; Carolina and Emily Newman, and her sister, Carol Winn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie Lee and Marshall Redfearn, her son, David Newman, her brothers; Neil Redfearn and Mike Redfearn, her sisters; Marion Wilson, Linda Reed, Jane McElyea, and Becky Pounders.
