Betty Hughes

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Old Union Cemetery Mount Pleasant with Shiles Hubbell officiating.

Betty Hughes, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant TX., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2021. She was born on August 24, 1936 to Glenn Grover Allen and Sybil Cook in Mount Pleasant, Texas.  Betty Allen married Lonnie Eugene Hughes on December 7, 1964 in Parker County, TX.

Betty is survived by her children; Danah Franks of Garland, Brenda and Howard Smith of Kaufman, Patti and Tim Hand of Dallas, Glenn Hughes of Mount Pleasant; Grandchildren, Renee Charlton, David Taylor, Lance Taylor, Becky Gant,  Jeremy Franks, Brent Smith, Timothy Hand, John Hand; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Lonnie Hughes and daughter Deborah Trammell.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to Cypress Basin Hospice.
