Albert "ABB" Stewart, age 101, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Mt. Pleasant. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park with Bro Ricky Logan officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
Albert was born on September 4, 1914 in Prescott Arkansas to John A. and Amanda Wallace Stewart. He married Helen Blagg on December 7, 1944 in Monticello Mississippi. He was an oil field worker and retired from the W.B. Hinton Drilling Company and a member of the Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church of Talco.
Albert is survived by his wife Helen Stewart of Mt. Pleasant TX, Sister Marie Dyer of Blevins Ark., nephews; Dale, Dean and Jimmy Dyer of Blevins Ark. Coy Stewart of McRae Ark., Hershel Stewart of Lincoln NB. And nieces; Alice Biddle of Prescott Ark., Mary Stevens of Hope Ark., and Melba Edward of Longview TX., as well as his extended family; Chris Heard of Sulphur Springs TX., Debbie and Isaac Gipson of Sulphur Springs TX., K.D. and Christin Heard of Mt. Vernon TX., Jan and James Davis of Jefferson TX., Broc Johnson, Zachri Johnson Melanie Johnson, Landon Johnson, Tracie Johnson, and Joshua Sheets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Amanda Stewart, brothers; Hubert Stewart, twin Brother Gilbert Stewart, O'Dell Stewart, sisters; Ophra Coburn, Inez Moore, and beloved friends Martha Ann Heard and Clinton Neal Johnson.
